Preserving the Collection

Mika Takami showing us Monsieur Mossad, one of the few male dolls in the collection.

Twelve of Queen Victoria’s dolls from her extensive collection of 132 dolls now form part of a permanent exhibition at Kensington Palace. After months of restoration work on their delicate clothes by textile conservators for Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), the charity that runs the palace, they released this clip which gives you a rare close-up look at these charming dolls.

If you click on the link below, you will learn about the conservation efforts from Mika Takami, a Textile Conservator for HRP.
