The Countess of Leicester

$795.00

The Countess of Leicester represents a character from the ballet “Kenilworth”, a play which the young Princess was very fond of and where all the great stars of the day performed.

Dressed in a silk satin dress with metal thread embroidery on the sleeve edges, the bodice and the skirt and a pink silk capelet which also sports embroidered scalloped edges, she is adorned with a crown that is decorated with tiny rhinestone crown jewels, pearl earrings and a pearl necklace with a jeweled cross. Her slippers are painted in gold to complete her regal look.

Our rendition of the Countess measures 6 3/4” inches tall, is fully articulated, and is made in a limited edition of 50 dolls.

Since each doll is hand painted, there will be small variations in each doll.

She is signed “C.S. Carver” for Charles Stuart Carver, the artist, and comes in her own decorated box with a laser engraved certificate of authenticity.

Her companion, the Earl of Leicester, will be available sometime later in 2025, possibly by UFDC convention.
