Emma, a 12 inch Grodnertal Play Doll

$1,195.00

Emma is inspired by an early Grodnertal that is circa 1815-20 with an elongated torso perfect for Empire waist dresses, shapely lower arms that end in a delicate hand with modeled fingers and a separate thumb, a golden tuck comb, and Regency style drop bead earrings.

Carved and painted by Charles Carver and dressed by Alicia Carver, she comes with a fine cotton slip and a lightweight cotton lawn stripe blush-colored dress all made of 100% fine Cotton. All back closures are period correct and drawstring-tied. A darker pin silk sash ties just beneath her bustline.

She comes in an excelsior-filled wooden box with her artwork on the cover and her round COA.

Emma is a gentle lady and named after the famous Jane Austen heroine from the novel of the same name.

***Please know that each one is hand-carved and painted and there will be minor variations in the completed Emma. She is finished in old world Shellack as were the original Grodnertals and thus has a slightly glossy finish. If you prefer the more matte finish, please request that at the time of purchase.”
